Continental Hospitals Successfully Accredited by JCI (Joint Commission International, USA) - Continental

I am privileged to work with continental Hospitals as Quality Consultant ,in a span of just eight months we passed JCI in the first attempt itself.
ontinental Hospitals has been accredited by JCI (Joint Commission International, USA) – the highest body of accreditation in the world and earned the “Gold Seal” in health care. Continental is the first hospital in the newly formed state of Telangana to receive the international accreditation by JCI and also the first hospital to receive international accreditation by JCI and NABH in less than twenty months. JCI accreditation of Continental Hospitals signifies commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement in the delivery of care to patients.

JCI standards

JCI standards represent a worldwide consensus on quality patient care that reflects state-of-the-art health care practices and health care delivery trends. Accreditation engages the organization’s governing board, professional staff and administration in a cooperative effort to continuously improve patient care.

What does JCI accreditation mean?

JCI accredits hospitals essentially for the highest implementation of patient-centered standards. These include both clinical care and organizational management standards, such asaccess to careinternational patients safety goalsassessment of patientsanaesthesia surgical care, medication management use, infection control, patient and family rights and education. The standards also address facility management and safetystaff qualifications, quality improvement, patient safety, organizational governance and leadership, and management of information and communications.
“We sought for international accreditation because we want to provide the best and safe quality health care to our patients. Earning accreditation from JCI is another step towards excellence and it is a great achievement.”

~ Dr Guru N Reddy, Chairman Continental Hospitals.

Continental Hospitals, by bringing in the best practices from across the world and maintaining an apt balance between advance treatment and affordability, has proved that good quality health care costs less. JCI accreditation not only epitomizes Continental Hospitals adherence to quality patient care and safety norms, but also reconfirms its international quality standards for patient care and organizational management
